Thrif is a “re-commerce” platform with the mission of making online shoppers “think secondhand first”.
OUR MISSION
We believe that buying and selling secondhand could have a huge impact on the sustainability and affordability of online shopping, but existing peer-to-peer marketplaces are deterring users and thus limiting its true potential. The time-consuming nature along with inconsistent quality, scams and safety risks all lead to a sub-par user experience that ultimately causes (1) buyers to prefer buying new, and (2) sellers to not be incentivised to list their pre-owned goods for sale. Through an innovative mix of both software and physical solutions — known as Resale-as-a-Service (RaaS) — Thrif is alleviating these pain points for both buyers and sellers, to make the experience of shopping secondhand feel as good as, if not better than, shopping new.

After the consignment period, sellers receive payouts for all sales, minus a 30% commission for Thrif. Payouts can be withdrawn to bank accounts or used as credit to shop on Thrif.
